TomatoVynl

Privacy

TomatoVynl is designed to be private and local-first. Timer settings, focus session history, and preferences are stored locally on your device in your browser. There is no user account system, no login, and no remote database tracking your habits.

Ambient sounds are synthesized entirely within your browser using the local Web Audio API. No external audio streams or remote sound files are requested for Ambient mode.

When you select TomatoVynl Radio, embedded player content is loaded via the official YouTube IFrame Player API. In Radio mode, requests are sent to Google and YouTube servers to stream music and load thumbnails, subject to Google’s privacy terms. No YouTube scripts, players, or requests are loaded on initial page load or when Sound is set to Off or Ambient.

Browser notifications are optional and used only after you explicitly grant permission. TomatoVynl does not run third-party advertising trackers.

To understand high-level app usage and improve features, TomatoVynl collects anonymous, aggregate product metrics (such as timer starts, completions, preset usage, sound mode selection, and focus mode usage) through privacy-focused edge telemetry. No personal data, user accounts, tracking cookies, device fingerprinting, sticky note contents, suggested track links, or IP addresses are ever collected or stored with these anonymous metrics.

When you submit a song through the “Suggest a track” feature, the chosen station, song link, and optional note are sent to TomatoVynl’s server endpoint and may be forwarded to a private Telegram chat for editorial review. No account or personal registration is required to submit suggestions.
